The Anderson County Humane Society (ACHS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the humane treatment of all animals. A cost-effective Spay/Neuter Program is a very important aspect of the Humane Society. Our program for low-cost spaying and neutering will help reduce the large number of unwanted dogs and cats ending up in our county's Animal Shelter every year.
The Anderson Humane Society Low-Cost Spay Neuter Clinic has been performing approximately 100 surgeries per week. We are so grateful for the support of our contributors and volunteers. Their contributions have helped make our clinic a success. We have now performed approximately 40,000 surgeries. We are dedicated to providing this needed service and reducing the number of unwanted and neglected animals. If you are a resident of Anderson County & your family income is less than $30,000/yr, you may qualify for discounted spay/neuter fees. (You will need to bring proof of income for every person working in the household.) Contact the Clinic to make an appointment. All fees must be paid in cash or debit/credit card on the day of surgery. All card purchases will include a 3% fee.
The following prices and services offered take effect as of August 1st, 2024
**Dogs: We will no longer offer spay/neuter services for dogs weighing over 100 pounds. For dogs between 80 – 100 pounds, you may be asked for additional information to be sure we can accommodate your request.
There may be a surcharge for overweight, pregnant, or in-heat dogs. Cryptorchid pets may incur additional fees, please ask at time of appointment.

To undergo surgery, your animal must be in good health, up to date on shots, and weigh at least 3 lbs. Bring proof of vaccination with your animal. If you do not have proof of rabies vaccine, your animal will be given a rabies vaccination at a cost of $10 to you. An additional charge will apply if a male animal is a cryptorchid (undescended testicles). If requested, ACHS will do the following vaccines and procedures only on the day of surgery. As stated, a rabies vaccine is mandatory if your animal does not have an up to date vaccination.
